The FDA is considering a petition from a bunch of food manufacturing groups, specifically the Grocery Manufacturers Association and the Chocolate Manufacturers Association which could dilute the definition of chocolate.
The new product would allow the replacement of cocoa butter in chocolate with cheaper and less tasty vegetable oils.
